Mr Boothy Photo Booth Hire – Devon & Cornwall
By booking with Mr Boothy, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Booking & Payment
- A non-refundable deposit (amount confirmed at time of booking of £50) is required to secure your date.
- The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- If full payment is not received by this deadline, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.
2. Late Payment
- If payment is not received on time and the event still goes ahead, a late payment charge of £25 may be added to your invoice.
- Continued non-payment may result in legal recovery of the outstanding balance plus any associated costs.
3. Cancellations
- Cancellations must be made in writing (email accepted). and sent to the following email :
- Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.
- Cancellations made:
- More than 40 days before the event: no further payment required.
- 15–40 days before the event: 50% of the full hire cost is payable.
- 14 days or less before the event: full hire cost is payable.
We strongly recommend event insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations.
4. Changes to Booking
- Changes to your event time, date or venue are subject to availability and must be agreed in writing.
- If we are unable to accommodate the new details, this may be treated as a cancellation.
5. Parking & Access
- The client is responsible for providing a suitable parking space with reasonable access to the venue.
- If parking is not provided and we incur parking charges, these will be added to your invoice.
- If no suitable parking is available or if we cannot unload safely, we reserve the right to cancel the booth on the day without refund.
6. Set-Up Requirements
- We require approximately 2.5m x 2.5m floor space, a standard power socket, and a reasonably flat, dry area indoors or under full cover.
- We are unable to operate outdoors unless in a fully enclosed, weatherproof marquee or prior agreement.
- If set-up is delayed due to venue access issues or other factors beyond our control, this may reduce the hire time without affecting the full fee payable.
7. Technical Issues & Equipment Failure
- In the rare event of technical issues or equipment failure that prevent the booth from operating as intended:
- If the full service cannot be delivered, a pro-rata refund will be offered based on the time lost.
- If no service is delivered, a full refund will be offered (limited to the amount paid).
- We do not accept liability for indirect losses or missed photo opportunities due to technical faults beyond our control.
8. Weather Conditions
- We will make every reasonable effort to attend your event regardless of weather.
- However, if travel is unsafe or impossible due to severe weather (e.g. snow, flooding, storm warnings), we may cancel the service.
- In such cases, we will attempt to reschedule or issue a partial refund, depending on the circumstances.
9. Damage to Equipment
- The client is liable for any wilful damage caused to the booth or equipment during the hire period.
- A damage charge will apply in such cases, with costs depending on the nature of the damage (minimum charge: £100).This cost will be higher depending on damage caused.
- We reserve the right to shut down the booth early if equipment or staff are at risk.
10. Conduct & Behaviour
- Our staff reserve the right to refuse service to anyone behaving inappropriately or dangerously.
- No food or drink is allowed inside the booth area.
- No Smoking or Vaping in the booth area.
- Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult while using the booth.
11. Use of Photos
- Unless otherwise agreed, we may use a selection of photos for promotional purposes (e.g. website, social media).
- You can opt out of this at the time of booking by letting our team know.
12. Limitation of Liability
- Our total liability for any claim arising from your booking is limited to the amount paid for the service.
- We are not liable for any indirect loss, missed opportunities, or third-party issues.
13. Brief Operational Pauses
During your event, short pauses may be necessary for essential operational reasons, including (but not limited to) changing printer paper or ink, booth maintenance, or staff comfort breaks. These interruptions are typically brief (no more than a few minutes) and are considered part of the standard hire period with paper and ink we allow 15 minute for any maintenance or changes No additional time or refund will be given for these necessary pauses, and we always aim to keep them as quick and unobtrusive as possible.
14. Print Unavailability & Digital Backup
In the unlikely event that our printing system becomes unavailable during your event (due to technical fault or supply issue), we will continue to operate the photo booth as a digital experience. This includes providing guests with the option to instantly share their photos via email or QR code, where internet connectivity allows.
We will also provide you with a full digital gallery after the event. No partial refund will be issued in this case, as the booth experience and digital delivery will still be provided in full.
15. Complete Service Failure
In the extremely rare event that Mr Boothy is unable to provide any service at all on the day of your event (due to major technical failure, staff illness, severe weather preventing travel, or other unforeseen emergency), we will issue a full refund of all monies paid.
Our liability in such circumstances is strictly limited to the amount paid for the hire. We do not accept responsibility for any consequential losses or disappointment arising from the cancellation.
16. Agreement
By paying your deposit and confirming your booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please ensure you have read and understood them fully.
